Super Saturday and Finals at the World Polo Championships, SYDNEY
Hi POLO Magazine Club Members and Readers,
All eight teams will play their final pool match on Super Saturday this weekend at the XI FIP World Polo Championship at Sydney Polo Club, Richmond.
Australia must beat tournament favourites Argentina if they are to qualify for the finals on Sunday (Oct 29).
The match line-up for Saturday is:
10am – India vs New Zealand (Supremo Field)
12pm – Spain vs USA (Supremo Field)
2.30pm – Chile vs England (International Field)
4.30pm – Argentina vs Australia (International Field)
Other activities taking place on Saturday include Fashions on the Polo Field at 2pm and Vaulting at 3pm.
The runners up of each pool will play off for 3rd and 4th place at 11am Sunday with the winners from each pool competing for the coveted trophy at 3pm Sunday.
After two matches the results table is:
POOL A
Argentina – 2 wins
Australia – 1 win, 1 loss
Spain – 2 losses
USA – 1 win, 1 loss
POOL B
Chile – 2 wins
England – 1 win, 1 loss
India – 2 losses
New Zealand – 1 win, 1 loss
